Many of the over 57,000 seniors living in poverty in our region make tough choices every day. The Food Bank sponsors vital programs to help seniors.

Families in rural areas face unique challenges due to fewer food and transportation resources.

Feeding Veterans

Veterans and active military members dedicate their lives to serving the United States. Unfortunately, like many Americans, some Veterans are forced to choose between necessities.

Feeding Pets

Families and seniors in need struggle to feed their pets, too. The Food Bank acquires large donations of pet food, along with other pet supply items.

Disaster Relief

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina is on call to respond to national, local and regional disasters by collecting food and funds for relief efforts in affected areas.
